The Boatshed

"The Boat Shed was created through out love affair with Gin (the same can also be said for Pizza!). Created by two couples the concept and planning evolved quickly during the start of 2018. The two men in the team (both called Nick) loved the idea of ‘Nick Bar’ but sadly this idea and the creation of a Filey’s first ‘man club’ was quickly shot down (thankfully) by the beauty and brains of the business Christina and Michelle.
As locals we knew that Filey already had a great selection of traditional pubs and restaurants, but we felt something was missing. There was no ‘in between’; nowhere to go for a meal where you could stay all night and drink.
People ask what we are and that’s a difficult question to answer. We’re not a restaurant, we’re not a bar, we literally are the ‘in betweeners’ (for those that have seen the film we have no resemblance in shape or personality to the characters). We offer a venue where you can attend for drinks only, whether that be for one drink or the whole night, a venue where food can be ordered as a meal or tapas style where you can share our tasty pizza’s with friends. At the other end of the spectrum we offer a cosy and warming environment where you can treat us like a restaurant and sample our delicious menu.
